HOW TO SOLVE YOUR OWN MURDER
Annie got fired; she’s been trying to use the time to write murder mysteries while also helping her artistic mom remodel the London house her great-aunt lets them live in. But when a letter comes, disenheriting Annie’s mom and requesting Annie’s presence, implying that Annie is to be the new benefactor, Annie has to make a hasty trip to the quite town of Castle Knole.
Unfortunately, Annie doesn’t find her eccentric Aunt and the promised fortune. Instead, she’s met with a deceased Aunt, a grumpy old lawyer, and a family full of secrets and people she’s never met.
The bottom line? If Annie wants the fortune and for her mom to keep the house, she has to solve her great-aunt’s murder before someone else does. And before the killer decides she’s getting too close to the truth.
What I’m Reading
I just started the new Sarah M. Eden book, The Tides of Time. It is so interesting and fun! I love that it’s partially set during the French Revolution. With everything going on in the world, it’s so cathartic to see how other people throughout history have persevered in times of terrible crisis.
What I’m Watching
Have you seen The Residence?!? It’s on Netflix and was so much fun!
Writing Update
My mom read my story and liked it. Lol. People say, ‘Don’t tell us your mom likes your book as a selling point,’ but in my case, it is! My mom is the best, and she might sugarcoat it, but you’re still going to take your medicine. She liked the draft I sent her, but she let me know where it fell short. This is the perfect balance, nice, but be honest.
